My Evaluation
I chose this program because I wanted to be faster in doing things on the computer than my brother does. I also wanted to know more things that could make working on the computer easier for me.
In the first week I learned how I can use Word faster and more efficient. It was very interesting to learn new tricks. I was also excited to work with the Atomic Learning Tutorial, which is a great way to learn how to work with the different computer programs. The next week I made the Web 2.0 Workshop, where I learned about blogs, wikis, podcasts, networks and tags. I also created my own wiki, which was one of my favorite things. After creating a wiki my opinion about Google had definitely grown. Now I finally know that to find a topic I just have to type in some words and than find what I want to do the project about. In the third week I made a movie about flying to Mainz in Germany. This movie went with my wiki. I had as much fun as problems. But in the end the movie was like I wanted it. Now I can create my own movie and write text on it. In the last week I watched the movies about Excel Charting, which was really amazing because I never knew how many opportunities there were. I also was surprised how many different kinds of graphs there were. I made a newsletter. At the beginning I had no clue how to do it but in the end it looked very professional.
I especially liked the working with Windows Movie Maker, even though I had some problems. Creating a wiki was very fun because I could make my own decisions about it.
I liked the text writing about the computer history least.
I would definitely recommend that this enrichment is offered again because it teaches the basic skills everyone needs to have if they want to work quickly on their computer.
